About
Thursday nights. Hard start at 8:05 PM. It's almost the weekend, so let's ride bikes. We roll from and return to Columbia Park (meet in front of the pool) for an hour-ish ramble through North Portland and beyond. No agenda beyond riding bikes with good people. Expect roughly 10 miles at a conversation-friendly pace (~10 mph). We usually have a brief rest stop along the way for snacks, stretching, high fives, admiring a weird tree, taking in a panoramic view, or whatever else seems important at the time.
This is a no-drop ride. Basket bikes, ATBs, all-road bikes, cruisers, "gravel" bikes, fancy bikes, old bikes, rusty bikes, whatever. If your bike can comfortably cruise at ~10 mph for an hour, it’ll be fine.
Bring:
-Front and rear lights (required)
-Snacks if you'd like
-water or optional beverage, maximum vibes (no store stop). And, an extra bike tube wouldn't hurt! Remember, wherever we end up along the way, we always practice Leave No Trace!
