About
If you like to bike and to dance, especially to Latin music, come join us for our annual Bici-Bachata bike ride where we’ll be bumping 100% bachata all ride! Bachata is a Latin partner dance originally from the Dominican Republic and if you’ve never seen it danced or are just curious about getting into it, we will have a mini lesson at the start of the ride to get you through the basics :) then there will be plenty of dance spots along the route to practice what you learned. And if you are already a bachata dancer, there will be tons of opportunities to dance with other bachateros in a number of awesome river-front spots.
Ride will almost be a loop and will end with a final outdoor dance party. We will have a big speaker but feel free to bring your own for the ride and join into our Spotify jam. Meet up at Abernathy elementary basketball courts 6:30 Lesson 7:00 Roll out to 1st dance stop! There will likely be two dance stops followed by a final dance party by the river near the old opera house on the SE waterfront side. No store stops so bring whatever snacks and hydration you need. Excited to dance with you!!!
