Riot Grrrl is a feminist movement that emerged in 1990's in the PNW, which focuses heavily on challenging sexism in the punk scene through DIY art/zine making, community building, and music. We'll be riding to a bespoke riot grrrl playlist of classic artists of the time like Bikini Kill, Sleater Kinney, Bratmobile, and Hole, as well as some riot grrrl inspired/adjacent artists.
Ride will be 13ish miles and a loop. Pace will be a brisk party pace (chill but get those zoomies out). We strive to be no drop, we are happy to stop for mechanical issues and feel free to ask us at the start of the ride about route. There will be a cool mid park stop for some views, but there will be no store stop, so please bring bevies and snacks if desired! Thanks to BikesxBeats for sound support!
We also may have an optional "grrrl dinner" stop at a near by punk bar after the ride for those interested!
